"Warsaw will be huge – it really will. I really want the boys to be a part of that. For me doing this job, I would love to win the World Cup. That's the one thing we haven’t won yet. We have won the Speedway of Nations twice and came so close to the SWC in Wroclaw. We need to get through this stage first and not get ahead of ourselves." Great Britain team manager Olly Allen looks forward to this week's World Cup semi-final in Landshut.
FOXES COUNTDOWN
"I've ridden for six different clubs over there but I have never been to a completely new venue and it will be fun to see what it is all about. I jumped at the chance to join Northampton, I was delighted to get that call. I'd heard a few rumours they were going to go and look for the riders to put into the team and I knew my name was there and thereabouts. Then I heard it wasn't going to happen and then, all of a sudden, it happened really quick." Currently sidelined Niels-Kristian Iversen can't wait to get started at Northampton...
DREAM DEBUT
"I am proud of being that Ukrainian rider, who also brings the attention of fans from Ukraine, who keep their fingers crossed for me. I feel the mission I have. Due to modern technology, they can use the internet and watch the racing in Ukraine and all over the world just like that." SGP debutant Nazar Parnitskyi will have plenty of support watching from his homeland when he takes to the track in Landshut on Saturday.
