LEON Madsen won Saturday night's Grand Prix in Prague – but World Champion Bartosz Zmarzlik ominously moved to the top of the standings after two rounds with a third place finish.
Madsen, the silver medallist in the World Championship in 2019 and 2022, erased the memory of a one-point return in the season opener at Landshut, by leading home Brady Kurtz and Zmarzlik in the final at the Marketa Stadium. Michael Jepsen Jensen finished fourth. The result lifted Madsen up to joint fourth in the standings on 21 points alongside Jack Holder, but Zmarzlik (32) moved a point clear of fellow countryman Kacper Woryna (31), the round one winner who banked 11 points on the night in Prague. Kurtz is now third on 26. • Full coverage from Prague in this week's Speedway Star. PICTURE: DANIEL SIEVERS
